There are many free online image and photo editors with various degrees of options and posibilities. Sofor editing you holiday snaps there is no need to buy expensive software like photoshop. Here we tried to find the best ones. They are listed in no particular order.
FotoFlexer
According to their website they are the

I have to say it is an easy to use editor. It provides all the tools you need in an easy to use interface.

I found their interface less intuitive and some effects are only available in the pro version which you find out when you want to use them.
Pixlr
This one feels just like a desktop application and is fast and very responsive
Pixlr is the creator of online cloud-based image tools. They have two applications in out suite, one we call Image Editor and the other is Photo Express.
Pixlr is built for non-professionals, the users that have basic editing needs. It’s not for large RAW images or for printing. It is merely a tool for editing web images to be posted on blogs, news-sites, social networks like Facebook, Myspace Bebo, image sites like Flickr, Fotolog, Photobucket etc.
Phoenix

From basic image retouching to complex effects, Phoenix delivers the key features and look and feel of a desktop image editor with the simplicity and accessibility of a web-based application. Phoenix is more of a proffesional tool as the tools described above. While some of the tools have some one click features, phoenix is able to do a lot more allthough it might involve some more steps
