za.net and za.org domain names

Want to get onto the web with a small or no budget. One of the things you will need is a domain name. Of course you can go out and pull your credit card and buy any of the well known domain names or you can get one for free.

ZA NiC was created to provide free domain registration under ZA.NET and
ZA.ORG to companies, not-for-profit organisations or private users who cannot
afford the fees demanded by some domain name registrars or who simply believe
that domain names should be a freely available resource for everyone. Since we
started taking public domain registrations in August 1998 we have processed over
27,000 new registrations. We have never commercially advertised the service and
rely mostly on word of mouth and testimonials of existing users to spread the
word.

You can choose between 2 different domains either za.net or za.org or both if you wish (you have to apply for them seperate though)

The only downside is that it can take up to 30 days before you get your requested domain name. But if you are patient and don’t need it immediatly then they are an excellent choice. You can find them at the following site
