Open Music Archive

Open Music Archive is a collaborative project, initiated by artists Eileen Simpson & Ben White, to source, digitise and distribute out-of-copyright sound recordings. The archive is open for anyone to use and contribute to.

The Open Music Archive concerns itself with the public domain and creative works which are not owned by any one individual and are held in common by society as a whole.

Under copyright law, a music recording has two automatically assigned property rights: A musical composition has a property right and a recording has a separate and independent property right. These property rights are limited by term. In the UK, the term of copyright in a literary, dramatic, musical or artistic work is limited to the life of the author plus 70 years, while the term of copyright in a sound recording is limited to 50 years from the date of recording. The archive attempts to gather recordings and information about recordings whose proprietary interests have expired and make them accessible to a wider public.

What is All our Stock

It’s pretty simple. They gather free images from the web, or create them themselves. You download for FREE and enjoy. What’s the catch? No catch. All images can be used for commercial or private use, and some are in the public domain, so you have tons of control over what you do with their content. They are always adding new stock photos, vector symbols, and custom created artwork for you to enjoy. All stock is of course royalty free by default and shopping couldn’t be easier. Just drag and drop your favorite images to the shopping cart at the bottom and Voila! You are ready to go. All your free stuff will be ready to go in a nicely zipped file. Can it be any easier and fun?

Mutopia (free sheet music)

The Mutopia Project offers sheet music editions of classical music for free download. These are based on editions in the public domain, and include works by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Handel, Mozart, and many others. A team of volunteers are involved in typesetting the music by computer using the LilyPond software

Mutopia also host a growing number of modern editions, arrangements and new music. The respective editors, arrangers and composers have chosen to make these works freely available
